Welcome to the new page for the Associated Students of Rio Hondo College - also known as the ASRHC! We are committed to serving the students of Rio Hondo College and ensuring that they receive the best educational experience possible.

About Us

The Associated Students of Rio Hondo College (ASRHC) is a student representative organization comprised of students at Rio Hondo College who are elected to serve as the student voice through the shared governance process. The ASRHC functions to integrate the students’ needs and concerns with the administration, faculty and staff in order to improve the campus environment and overall college experience.

The ASRHC is housed within the Student Life & Leadership Department which is the core department for all co-curricular activities on campus. Student Life & Leadership Staff serve as advisors for both the ASRHC and the Inter-Club Council (ICC) and leadership programs. The ASRHC and Student Life & Leadership Department share guiding values and commit to providing students with events and programming that reflect: Leadership Development, Social Responsibility, Cultural Diversity, and Student Success and Degree Completion.

The ASRHC is broken up into three (3) branches: The Executive Branch (E-Board), Legislative Branch (Senators), and Judicial Branch. The voting body, Senate, is comprised of the Vice President, Treasurer, and all members of the Legislative Branch. The President only votes in case of a tie. The Secretary, Attorney General, and members of the Judicial Branch are not considered to be part of the Senate and therefore do not vote.  The ASRHC is a non-profit organization, and raises funds by collecting the College Services Fee.
